Appointment or dismissal of military chiefs 'a presidential prerogative', says Nigerian presidency

Abuja, Nigeria, August 5 (Infosplusgabon) – The Nigerian Presidency has told the Senate, which passed a resolution on Tuesday asking the Chief of the Defence Staff and Service Chiefs “to resign or be sacked due to the multi-pronged security challenges in the country” that the appointment or dismissal of Service Chiefs is a presidential prerogative.
