Libyan Interior minister calls for vigilance against threats to the country

Tripoli, Libya, August 19 (Infosplusgabon) – The Interior minister of the Libyan Government of National Accord (GNA), Fathi Bachagha has called for vigilance against dangers still threatening Libya, warning that "the war can resume at any time".

 

He was speaking on Monday at a meeting with the Turkish and Qatari ministers of Defence, Hulusi Akar and Khaled al-Attiyah respectively.

 

According to a communiqué issued by the ministry, Mr Bachagha praised the role played by Turkey and Qatar and their support for the GNA in the Tripoli war.

 

He underlined that the meeting expressed the relations of fraternity and the links between brothers in Turkey and Qatar, which have materialized themselves in the consolidation of the joint cooperation between Libya, Turkey and Qatar in all domains, particularly security.

 

During the meeting, Mr Bachagha reviewed the working mechanism of the Interior ministry, which aims to strengthen the capacities of the staff.

 

The Turkish minister of Defence, declared: "Libya means much because of the inter-depedence of the bilateral relations since the old times and the harmonization of civilizations."

 

Mr Akar underlined the need for Libya’s stabilization so that the people will benefit from and enjoy the potentials of their country.

 

He expressed the aspiration of his country to strengthen the security and military cooperation with Libya, in a way that serves the common interest of the two countries.

 

The Qatari minister of Defence called on Libyans to overcome this stage of their history to make Libya a place of peace.
