Gabonese Education minister resigns

LIBREVILLE, Sep 1 (Infosplusgabon) -  The Gabonese Minister of National, Technical and Vocational Education, Prof. Leon Nzouba, stepped down Sunday, presenting his letter of resignation to the government of the Prime Minister Daniel Ona Ondo, according to an official statement issued here.

Prof. Leon Nzouba was appointed Minister in actual government on 28 Jan. 2014.

Analysts said his resignation might not be unconnected with the crisis in the education sector, which has witnessed a prolonged hunger strike by the students who failed the 2014 A-levels exams.

A minor cabinet reshuffle is expected in the next few days in order to replace the Minister.
