Accra, Ghana, January  1st (Infosplusgabon) - Ghana's President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo says the country will this year witness "drastic transformation" as his government works to deliver more campaign promises.

He told a technology exhibition mounted by a local manufacturer in Accra on Sunday that the problems facing Ghana required a great deal of speed to solve and his government was poised to leave a legacy.

“In 2017 I said I was a man in a hurry. But in 2018, we are coming with supersonic speed,” President Akufo-Addo stated at the exhibition mounted by Kristo Asafo, adding that his government would position Ghana beyond aid.

“The way we move about begging for money in other countries is not nice. That is not how God created us,” he said.

Ghanaians ushered in the New Year with church services, with pastors preaching the message of hope, peace and blessings for the country.
