Presidents Mnangagwa, Zuma to meet in Pretoria

Cape Town, South Africa, December 20 (Infosplusgabon) - President Jacob Zuma of South Africa will meet with his Zimbabwean counterpart President, Emmerson Mnangagwa, on Thursday in Pretoria, the South African presidency has confirmed.

It will be Mnangagwa's first working visit to South Africa since his inauguration on 24 November.

The former Vice President fled to South Africa in early November after he was fired by President Robert Mugabe, amid speculation that the autocrat was paving the way for his wife to succeed him.

"During the courtesy call, the two heads of state will share perspectives on various issues of mutual importance, such as regional, continental and international developments," Zuma’s office said in a statement.

Mnangagwa is also expected to address business leaders in the capital.
