Abu Dhabi, UAE, december 9 (Infosplusgabon) - Wydad Casablanca of Morocco conceded a goal in overtime to lose 1-0 on Saturday to Pachuca of Mexico at the 2017 FIFA Club World Cup in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
In their quarter-final match at the Zayed Sports City Stadium, Abu Dhabi, the African champions held on until the end of 90 minutes but wilted 22 minutes into extra time when Victor Guzmen scored for the Mexicans.
The victory meant that Pachuca are through to the semi-finals while Wydad fell to the match for fifth place on December 12 at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain.
In the semi-finals, the Mexicans will meet Gremio of Brazil which along with defending champions Real Madrid begin to play in the semi-finals.
