Accra, Ghana, November 30 (Infosplusgabon) - French President Emmanuel Macron arrived Accra on Thursday for a day's official visit to Ghana on the final leg of a three-nation tour of West Africa that has already taken him to Burkina Faso and Cote d'Ivoire.
Mr Macron was met on arrival at the Kotoka International Airport by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The state-owned Ghana News Agency (GNA) reported that the French president is seeking to renew his country's relations with Africa, as well as boost his fight to halt illegal migration and Islamic militancy in the Sahel region.
It said President Macron would emphasise trade, investment, education and sports, and bolster six decades of relations with Ghana.
He is expected to hold bilateral talks with President Akufo-Addo.
President Macron leaves for France later in the day.
