Curepipe, Mauritius, November 20 (Infosplusgabon) - ASPL 2000 on Sunday won the Mauritian Charity Shield for the second year in a row, beating Pamplemousses SC on penalties at the George V Stadium in Curepipe, in the centre of the Island, after the match ended 1-1 in regulation time.
The traditional Charity Shield, which opens the football season in Mauritius, features the champion team of Mauritius against the winner of the Mauritius Football Association (MFA) Cup.
Fabrini Razah opened the score for Pamplemousses SC in the 35th minute before Emmanuel Vincent equalised for ASPL 2000 in the 79th minute.
In the penalty shoot-out, ASPL 2000 converted 5 of their shots against 4 by Pamplemousses SC.
