Caito, Egypt, November 12 (Infosplusgabon) - Morocco and Tunisia on Saturday claimed Africa's final two slots for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia after their last group matches.

Nigeria and Egypt were safely in Russia before this weekend's final group matches. Senegal on Friday picked the third of the five tickets available to Africa with a 2-0 victory over South Africa in the replay of their first round match while Morocco and Tunisia secured the final places.

Tunisia reached the 2018 World Cup finals with a 0-0 draw against Libya in their Group A match at the Olympic Stadium in Rodes. The North African country pipped DR Congo who beat Guinea 3-1 in their match in DR Congo. The results gave Tunisia 14 points, DR Congo 13 points, Libya 4 points and Guinea 3 points.

In Group B, Zambia and Cameroon drew 2-2 in Ndola, Zambia. The result did not have any effect on the group as Nigeria had already picked the only ticket in the group. Nigeria top the group with 14 points, Zambia have 8, Cameroon 7 and Algeria 2.

In Group C, Morocco reached the World Cup finals with a 2-0 win over Cote d'Ivoire in Abidjan with two goals in five minutes from Nabil Dirar (25th) and Medi Benatia (30th). In the other match, Gabon and Mali drew 0-0.

The results mean Morocco have bagged 12 points, Cote d'Ivoire 8, Gabon 6 and Mali 4.

The final matches in Group E and D will be played on Sunday and Tuesday respectively, but they will have no effect as Egypt (Group E) and Senegal (Group D) have topped their tables.
