IAAF ratifies Chespol Women U20 Steeplechase World record

Nairobi, Kenya, November 2 (Infosplusgabon)  -  The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) Thursday ratified the Under 20 Women's 3000m steeplechase 8:58.78 World record, which she set in Eugene, USA, on 26 May, 2017.

Chespol  smashed her previous record of 9:05.70, set in Doha on 5 May 2017. She broke the previous 9:20.37 mark set by Birtukan Adamu of Ethiopia in Rome on 26 May 2011.
