Brazzaville, Congo, November 2 (Infosplusgabon) - The Congolese minister of Forest Economy, Mrs Rosalie Matondo, on Wednesday urged Congolese forest to preserve wildlife reserves, recognised as catalysts for geo-ecological balances and socio-economic development.
"The wildlife fauna, through biological functions such as pollution, dissemination of seeds and acceleration of their germination, participate significantly in the functioning of ecosystems and landscapes," said Mrs Matondo, on the occasion of the closure of the hunting season in Congo, effective on 1 November.
Mrs Matondo underlined the importance to preserve natural ecosystems, which are the conditions for the survival of wildlife.
