1 Nigeria - won 5 times (1985, 1993, 2007, 2013, 2015); silver 3 (1987, 2001, 2009).

2 Brazil - won 3 (1997, 1999, 2003); silver 2 (1995, 2005); bronze 2 (1985, 2017); 4th place 1 (2011).

3 Ghana - won 2 (1991, 1995); silver 2 (1993, 1997); 3rd place 1 (1999); 4th place 1 (2007).

4 Mexico - won 2 (2005, 2011); silver 1 (2013); 3rd place 1 (2015).

5 Soviet Union - won 1 (1987).

6 Saudi Arabia - won 1 (1989).

7 France - won 1 (2001).

8 Switzerland - won 1 (2009).

7 England - won 1 (2017).
