2017 FIFA U-17 WC: Mali wins 4th place, lose 2-0 to Brazil in 3rd-place match

Kolkata, India, October (Infosplusgabon) - African champions, Mali, on Saturday ended their 2017 FIFA Under-17 World Cup campaign in fourth place when they lost 2-0 to three-time world champions, Brazil, in their third-place match at the Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata, India.

After a barren first half, the Brazilians scored their goals in the 55th minute (by Alan Souza) and 88th minute (by Yuri Alberto).

The Malians were runners-up in 2015, while the Brazilians, winners in 1997, 1999 and 2003, raced to their second third-place win.
