Guwahati, India, October 21 (Infosplusgabon) - African champions Mali on Saturday "soldiered" into the semi-final of the 2017 FIFA Under-17 World Cup in India, defeating fellow Africans, Ghana, 2-1.
In their quarter-final match at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati, goals from Hadji Dramé in the 15th minute and Djemoussa Traoré in the 61st vaulted Mali to a commanding 2-0 lead only for Mohammed Kudus to rifle home from the penalty spot in the 70th minute for Ghana's consolation goal.
For Mali, it was a repeat of their victory (1-0) against Ghana in the final match of the Africa Under-17 Nations Cup in Gabon on 28 May, 2017.
