Sudan condemns terrorist attack in Egypt

Khartoum, Sudan, October 21 (Infosplusgabon) -  Sudan on Saturday condemned the “criminal terrorist attack” that occurred in Egypt on Friday saying it fully supports and stands by Egypt.

In a statement issued here, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Sudan’s full solidarity, support and backing to the Government of Egypt for maintaining security and safety of its people.

The statement described the attack on security personnel by suspected Islamist militants on Friday as "contradicting all lofty human values".

Also, the statement expressed Sudan’s solidarity with the families of the victims of the attack and hoped for swift recovery of those injured in the attack.

More than 50 Egyptian security personnel were killed during a clash with the suspected militants on their hideout near the Bahariya oasis in the Western Desert.
