Cape Town, South Africa, October 20 (Infosplusgabon) - The Western Cape High Court has attached the luxury Cape Town home of Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, Equatorial Guinea's Vice-President.

Mangue who has reputation for living lavishly has met his match with city businessman Daniel Janse van Rensburg, who has launched a US$6 million lawsuit against hm.

Van Rensburg was held for 15 months at the notorious Black Beach prison in Malabo after an aviation deal with a relative of Obiang's soured. He claims he was tortured and he contracted typhoid, malaria and hepatitis.

Judge Vincent Saldanha noted that Obiang who attempted to invoke diplomatic immunity, has been involved in similar attachment proceedings, in France and the United States. The case continues.

In 2011, the US Justice Department went to court to seize US$70 million of Mangue’s US assets, which include a Gulfstream jet, yachts, cars and Michael Jackson memorabilia.
