20th edition of cycling Tour of Algeria kicks off

Algiers, Algeria, October 18 (Infosplusgabon) -  The 20th edition of the Algeria Tour of cycling kicked off on Wednesday from Biskara in the country's northeast, with the participation of 78 cyclists from eight Arab and other countries.

Algerian Cycling Federation president Mabrouk Kerboua said that the number of participants in this edition is smaller than the previous sessions for several reasons, including the programme of the International Cycling Union.

The edition, running from 18-24 October, will be an opportunity for local cyclists to prepare for the Arab and African championships slated for November in Egypt and Rwanda, he remarked.
