The first plane from Mogadishu landed at Wilson Airstrip in Nairobi shortly after the Kenyan government offered to assist the medical evacuation of those injured.

The Kenya Red Cross Eplus ambulances were already on sight and ready to transport the injured to Kenyatta National Hospital for specialized treatment hours before the flight landed.
