FIFA 2017 U-17 WC: France, Japan, Honduras go through after final Group E matches

Guwahati, India, October 14 (Infosplusgabon) -  France recorded their third victory in Group E at the ongoing FIFA 2017 U-17 World Cup tournament when they thrashed Honduras 5-1 in their match played at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati, India.

In the other group match played at Kolkata at the same time, Japan were held to a 1-1 draw by New Caledonia.

The French topped the group with 9 points, Japan were second with 4 points, Honduras ended with 3 points while New Caledonia came fourth with 1 point.

France and Japan were joined in the Round of 16 by Honduras.
