Dakar, Senegal, October 13 (Infosplusgabon) -  The Burkina Faso president, Roch Marc Christian Kabore, arrived on Friday in Dakar for a two-day official visit to Senegal, which will be marked by the signing of several agreements on security, justice and education.

He was received at the airport by his Senegalese counterpart, Macky Sall, in the presence of several government members, members of the diplomatic corps, and several other civil and military personalities.

In the afternoon, the two presidents will hold talks, particularly on the relations between their two countries and on security in the Sahel region.

President Kaboré will Saturday travel to Diamniadio, about 30 kilometres east of the capital, Dakar, together with President Sall, to see some projects that are of interest to the two countries.

They include the Abdou Diouf international conference centre (CICAD) and the international Blaise Diagne airport (AIBD) whose inauguration is due for December.

On Saturday afternoon, President Kabore will meet with the Burkinabe community in Senegal whose population is officially estimated at 50,000, majority of whom are students.

His last visit to Senegal dates back to June 2016 when he took part in the ECOWAS Summit of Heads of State and the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU).

Accompanied by a high-level delegation, President Kabore, in power since December 2015, will return home on Sunday.
