Burkina Faso: 17 teams from 14 countries to take part in 30th Tour of Faso

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, October 11 (Infosplusgabon) -  Altogether, 17 teams from 14 African and European countries are expected from 27 October to 5 November in Ouagadougou for the 30th edition of the international cycling Tour of Faso, organisers said on Wednesday.

The cyclists will run 10 stages, an overall distance of 1,289.3 kilometres.

African countries taking part in the event are: Morocco, DR Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Niger, Benin, Togo, Mali, Eritrea, Angola and Burkina Faso.

Other cyclists are expected from Germany, Netherlands, France and Belgium. The 29th edition of the Tour in 2016 was won by Burkina’s Harouna Ilboudo.

Following are the stages of the Tour:

1. Koulbila – Tenkodogo (139km)

2. Garango – Zorgho (95km)

3. Boussé – Ouahigouya (130km)

4. Yako – Ziniaré (143km)

5. Kokologho – Boromo (136km)

6. Dano – Gaoua (113km)

7. Banfora – Bobo-Dioulasso (120km)

8. Bobo-Dioulasso – Dédougou (171.6km)

9. Dédougou – Koudougou (131km)

10. Korsimoro – Ouagadougou (110.7km)
