Goa, India, October 10 (Infosplusgabon) - Iran thrashed Germany 4-0 in the second Day 2, Group C match at the ongoing 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup tournament in Goa on Tuesday.
In the first Group C match of the day, Guinea held Costa Rica to a 2-2 draw.
Meanwhile, in Group D, Brazil beat DPRK 2-0 in the second match played in Kochi, after Spain walloped Niger 4-0 in the first match.
The results mean Iran top Group C with 6 points, Germany have 3 points while Costa Rica and Guinea follow in that order with one point each.
In Group D, Brazil lead the group with 6 points, Spain are second with 3 points, same as Niger while DPRK have 0.
The tournament continues on Wednesday with Day 2 matches in Groups E and F.
France will play Japan while Iraq play Chile in Group E. England will play Mexico and Honduras will meet New Caledonia in Group F.
