NEW DELHI, India, October 7 (Infosplusgabon) - Guinea on Saturday lost 3-1 to Iran in their Group C opening match at the 2017 FIFA Under-17 World Cup in India.
The Iranians led 3-0 even at the 90th minute but Guinea scored a consolatory goal one into overtime. That match was played at the Fatorda Stadium in Margao.
Guinea because the second African country to lose their opening match following Mali's 3-2 loss to Paraguay in Group B. That 91st-minute goal was scored by Frandje Toure.
Ghana began the African campaign on a winning start, pipping Colombia 1-0 on Friday in a Group A encounter.
