TRIPOLI, Libya, October 4 (Infosplusgabon) - The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has condemned Wednesday’s suicide attack against a court house in the Libyan city of Misrata, where at least three persons were killed and over 15 others injured.

According to a statement issued by UNSMIL, the Islamic State (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the attack.

The Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of UNSMIL, Dr. Ghassan Salame, has sent his "sincere condolences to the families of those killed and expressed his hope for the swift recovery of those injured," said the statement.

"Indiscriminate attacks against civilians, including employees of the judicial institutions, are violations of human rights and international humanitarian law and cannot be justified. Those behind today's bombing and other such despicable acts must face justice," UNSMIL said.

The UN Mission also conveyed its solidarity to the Government and people of Libya.
