KHARTOUM, Sudan, October 1 (Infosplusgabon) - Sudan’s Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Mohamed Osman Rikabi on Sunday urged Sahel-Sahara Bank for Trade and Investment in Africa to increase its cooperation with Sudan and help with economic integration of Libya and Sudan.

The Minister invited the Libyan bank to fund “promising projects in agriculture, oil and transport” in addition to providing facilities to Sudan to import wheat and medicines.

The Sudanese official who on Sunday received his Libyan counterpart, Osama Saad Al-Hammad, said his country was a good market for Sahel-Saharan Bank for financing and for making profits.

He called on the bank to finance a road linking Sudan and Libya saying that road was vital for security, stability and cross-border trade. He said this road would help transport agricultural products to African and Arab countries.

The Libyan official said the country was now witnessing stability in all fields, and that the bank was ready to extend funds to various African countries.
