FREETOWN, Sierra Leone, September 28 (Infosplusgabon) - Sierra Leone is set to face Cameroon in the next round of U-20 World Cup Qualifiers, sports sources confirmed here on Thursday.

Cameroon qualified for the next phase of qualifiers after they hammered Guinea 9-0 in the first leg of their supposed double clash. Both teams were scheduled to meet for the second leg on 30 September, but Guinea have pulled out of the tie.

Guinea's withdrawal has paved the way for Cameroon to face Sierra Leone in the next phase of qualifiers. Sierra Queens have been lucky enough to qualify to this stage without kicking a ball, after Tunisia also pulled out of the qualifying tie against them.

Sierra Leone and Cameroon would face each other in November, in a two-leg clash. In anticipation for this match, Sierra Leone played Morocco in a friendly early this month. Despite an encouraging performance, the team lost 2-1 in Rabat.

Sierra Leone U-20 team coach, Victoria Conteh, has been calling on the FA to organize one more friendly match ahead of the November tie with Cameroon.

African teams are competing in the U-20 World Cup Qualifiers ahead of the competition to be held in France in 2018.
