Rwanda: Rayon Sports wins Rwanda Super Cup 2017

KIGALI,  Rwanda, September 27 (Infosplusgabon) - Rwanda Football Federation  has confirmed the  first division side Rayon Sports as winner of  Rwanda's Super Cup 2017 after beating  arch-rivals APR FC 2-0 on Wednesday at Kigali Stadium.

Rayon Sports is the 2016/2017 Champion in the Rwanda Premier League and more recently, the club won another competition dubbed "Agaciro Development Fund" after beating the military side APR FC 1-0.

Rayon's victory comes after the club signed a new contract with Malian striker Ismaila Diarra .

In a related development, former Rwanda forward, Olivier Karekezi, has been appointed head coach of Rayon Sports on a two-year deal.

Karekezi is assisted by former Amavubi, Rwanda national teammates Hamadi ‘Katauti’ Ndikumana and Ramadhan Nkunzingona (goalkeeping coach), while Marcel Lomami will be the fitness coach.
