Sierra Leone: FIFA task force to meet Sierra Leonean officials over football problems

FREETOWN,  Sierra Leone, September 26 (Infosplusgabon) - The Sierra Leone Football Association has announced that the expected FIFA task force in the country have set a date for a crucial meeting in Freetown, capital of Sierra leone.

 

According to the SLFA, the 28th and 29th September have been set aside for meetings over the problems in the Sierra Leonean football.

 

The committee is made up of Musa Bility, President of Liberia FA, and, Drucil Taylor, the SLFA Representative, Veron Mosengo- Omba, FIFA Director of Member Association, and Solomon Mudege, FIFA Manager Decelopment for Africa.

 

The committee is headed by Bility and they are expected to arrive in Freetown in the next two days.  The agenda of the meeting will be -- to look into issues affecting football in Sierra Leone and discuss ways in which the SLFA can be assisted for the benefit of football in the country.

 

The much-awaited integrity check that has delayed the SLFA congress is not entered as a topic on the agenda for the meeting.

 

SLFA media team said the task force would keep meeting among its members and then later request to sit with different factions of football in the country.

 

Over the last few days, the FA has been locked up in renewed controversies with factions in the game.

 

The committee is expected to submit a report to FIFA after the whole exercise has been conducted.
