CAIRO, Egypt, September 23 (Infosplusgabon) - Former champions, FUS Rabat of Morocco, have reached the semi-final of the 2017 CAF Confederation Cup, knocking out CS Sfaxien of Tunisia in the quarter-finals.
In their quarter-final match played on Friday, FUS Rabat, winner of the cup in 2010, beat CS Sfaxien 1-0 in the second leg and the stalemate had to be settled by penalty shootout because the first leg in Morocco also ended 1-0.
In the shootout, FUS Rabat won by 5-4.
CS Sfaxien are three-time winners (2007, 2008, 2013) and runners up in 2010.
