2017 WAFU Nations Cup: Ghana qualifies for semi-final

ACCRA,  Ghana, September 17 (Infosplusgabon) - Hosts Ghana have qualified for the semi-final of the ongoing 2017 WAFU Nations Cup after winning two straight matches in the second-round, group 1.

After beating Guinea 2-0 on 14 Sept. and pipping Mali 1-0 on Saturday, Ghana grabbed an unassailable 6-point lead on the four-team table. Nigeria have drawn twice to record 2 points and in second place.

Mali and Guinea are third and fourth on the table.

In continuation of the tournament on Sunday, Niger will take on Cote d'Ivoire and Senegal take on Benin in a Day 2, second-round, Group 2 match.
