CAIRO,  Egypt , September 16 (Infosplusgabon) - SuperSport United’s hopes of progressing to the semi-finals of the 2017 CAF Confederations Cup have been destabilised after being held to a goalless draw by a resilient Zesco United of Zambia at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Friday.

A spirited performance in the first-leg, quarter-final encounter by the visiting Zambians saw ‘Matsatsantsa’, as SuperSport are called, frustrated all evening and were unable to break the stubborn Zesco defence. This was the first time the two sides had met.

The result has now put Eric Tinkler and his charges in a very difficult position of having to find the back of the net and not concede when they travel to Ndola in a week’s time

The two sides will meet on Saturday, 23 September at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola in what promises to be a cracker of a match.

Other fixtures for this weekend are as follows:-

MC Alger (Algeria) vs Club Africain (Tunisia) - Saturday

FUS Rabat (Morocco) vs CS Sfaxien (Tunisia) - Saturday

Hilal Obeid (Sudan) vs TP Mazembe (DR Congo) - Saturday
