Coronavirus: Tunisia records 41 new deaths due to pandemic

Tunis, Tunisia, December 1 (Infosplusgabon) - Tunisia Monday recorded 41 new cases of deaths due to coronavirus (COVID-19) and 518 new infections, the Tunisian ministry of Health here.

The total number of infections recorded in the country since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 96,769 cases as against 70,851 recoveries, the ministry said.

The Tunisian minister of Health said the peak of infections could occur in mid-December, calling for the need for populations to respect the protection measures to stop the spread of the deadly virus.

He said Tunisia had requested 5 million doses of anti-COVID-19 vaccines, without giving details on the identity of laboratories.
