Libyan Interior minister discusses with Tunisian ambassador facilitation of movement of citizens between two countries

Tripoli, Libya, December 1 (Infosplusgabon) - The Interior minister of the Libyan Government of National Accord (GNA), Fathi Bachagha, Monday held talks with the Tunisian ambassador in Libya, Lassaad Lajili, on ways of facilitating travel procedures for Libyan and Tunisian citizens across their common land border post of Ras Jedir, an official source said here.

 

Bachagha also discussed with Lajili aspects of the security support and resolution of some problems occurring at the land border post, a statement issued by the Libyan ministry of Interior said.

 

It said the discussions focused on "the modalities of cooperation between Libya and the Republic of Tunisia", insisting on "the interdependence between the two fellow countries, and the positive role played by Tunisia in the support for the political path and the Libyan dialogue".

 

The Tunisian ambassador expressed "the satisfaction of his country for the success of the meetings of the joint 5+5 military commission in a way to strengthen Libya’s stability and security".

 

The Interior minister reaffirmed the role played by Tunisia in support for stability and peace in Libya.
