Tunis, Tunisia, November 22 (Infosplusgabon) - A total of 18,279 migrants of different nationalities living in Tunisia have benefited from direct aid offered by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) as part of the fight against the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
According to an IOM monthly publication, 14,451 migrants received vouchers, 1,303 in assistance in-kind, 460 in medical assistance, 1,013 in psychological and social assistance, 216 in legal support and 114 in awareness sessions.
The IOM, created in 1951, is a United Nations organization that deals with migration and works in close collaboration with governmental and non-governmental partners, as well as inter-governmental organizations to provide assistance and support to migrants.
