Coronavirus: 78 new cases, one death recorded in Guinea

Conakry, Guinea, November 1 (Infosplusgabon) – Guinea on Saturday recorded 78 new positive cases of coronavirus following the tests carried out of 672 samples, the national health security agency (ANSS) said on Sunday in its daily bulletin.

It said one patient also died while 64 were declared recovered.

The overall number of confirmed cases is 12,150, including 10,578 recoveries and 73 deaths, since the disease was diagnosed in the country on 12 March.

ANSS has stepped up its appeals to the public to wear face masks and abide by the order of physical distancing, particularly in the capital, Conakry and its five communes, considered as epicentre of the disease.
