Coronavirus: Senegal registers 12 new cases, 72 recoveries

Dakar, Senegal, October 31 (Infosplusgabon) - Senegal on Friday recorded 12 new cases of coronavirus from tests carried out on 805 samples, the Ministry of Health and Social Action said.

It explained that four of the new cases were of follow-up contacts and eight came from community transmission.

The ministry also confirmed that 72 patients tested negative and were declared cured, but six cases were still under intensive care in hospital. No death occurred.

Senegal's coronavirus positive caseload has reached 15,605 of which 14,732 cases have been cured, 323 died and 549 are still under treatment.
