Tripoli, Libya, October 31 (Infosplusgabon) - The foreign ministry of Libya's Government of National Accord has condemned Thursday's attack on the Notre-Dame church in the French city of Nice in which three people were killed, saying there was no justification for this act on innocent people.

"There is no reason that can justify the killing of innocent people or justify violence against them, especially in a place of worship," the ministry said a statement published on the its website.

It rejected "all kinds of terrorism and violence that our holy religion calls to combat and eliminate".

Two women and a man were killed in a knife attack in and around the Basilica of Notre Dame de l'Assomption in Nice.

The perpetrator of the attack, a 21-year-old Tunisian, was shot dead.
