Coronavirus: Guinea records 52 new cases, one death

Conakry, Guinea, October  31 (Infosplusgabon) - Guinea on Friday recorded 52 new cases coronavirus from 441 samples, representing a positivity index of 11.8 per cent, the National Health Security Agency (ANSS) announced.

It said in its daily bulletin that there was one death related to coronavirus, bringing the death toll to 72, while nine patients have been declared recovered.

ANSS said the total number of positive cases since the first case was diagnosed last March is 12,072 while 10,514 patients have recovered.

Observers have denounced the non-compliance with the measures enacted to contain the pandemic, particularly in the capital, Conakry, considered to be the epicentre.
