Port-Louis, Mauritius, October 4 (Infosplusgabon) - Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA) on Friday seized 50.88 grams of synthetic drugs 'cannabinoid', worth Rs 763,200 at a courier warehouse in Vacoas town, 20 km south of Port Louis.
In a statement, the MRA said the drug concealed in a transparent plastic sachet, addressed to a consignee residing in Vacoas, was sent from France on board an Air Mauritius flight of 17 September 2020.
After verification, the parcel was found to contain 50.88 grams of a yellowish granulated substance suspected to be synthetic drugs. A field test carried out on the substance revealed it is synthetic cannabinoid.
The parcel has been seized and one person was arrested in a controlled delivery exercise, the MRA said.
