Tripoli, Libya, September 5 (Infosplusgabon) - Drinking water supply to Tripoli is expected to resume gradually by the end of Saturday after the return of electricity to pumping stations, the management of the Hassawna-Sahel Jafara Artificial River system has announced.
Libyan General Electricity Company on Friday announced the restart of most of the generators at Khoms and Misrata power stations, and the return of power supply to all areas, accompanied by manual load shedding, to maintain the security and stability of the electricity grid.
On Thursday, the company had informed the public of complete power cut in the central and southern regions due to the rise in heat, while the country faces electricity problems arising from a deficit of 2,500 megawatts in power generation.
