Brazzaville, Congo, September 5 (Infosplusgabon) - Congo's national coordination, chaired by President Denis Sassou-Nguesso, on Friday extended the health emergency for another 20 days from 8 September,official spokesperson Thierry Lezin Moungalla announced.
By this decision, he said the curfew in the capital, Brazzaville, and in Pointe-Noire, the country's main economic and industrial centre in the south, will be from 8 pm to 5 am.
For the rest of the country, the curfew is maintained from 10 pm to 5 am.
The national coordination has also prohibited any gathering of more than 50 people in public and private places. It requires the compulsory and compliant wearing of personal protective masks and observation of preventive measures everywhere.
In addition, the coordination requires presentation at the airport of a negative PCR test within 72 hours by all passengers arriving in Congo on commercial flights, except children under 11 years of age.
According to figures provided by Health and Population minister Jacqueline Lydia Mikolo, Congo has 4,856 positive cases of coronavirus, of which 3,882 have recovered and 82 died.
