Coronavirus: Nigeria records three deaths, 156 new infections Friday

Abuja, Nigeria, September 5 (Infosplusgabon) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 156 new infections and three deaths related to Coronavirus (COVID-19) on Friday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 54,743 including 1,051 deaths.

In addition, the health agency said that 10,876 COVID-19 cases are active and still under treatment, 42,816 patients have been treated and discharged across the country.

NCDC noted that the new infections were from 17 States with Lagos recording the highest number of 36 cases, followed by the Federal Capital with 35 and Oyo with 29.

The data shows that Kaduna had 10, Abia - 9, Osun - 5, Ogun - 5, Enugu - 5, Rivers - 4, Nasarawa - 3, Ekiti - 3, Imo - 3, Edo - 2, Kwara - 2, Katsina - 2, Plateau - 2 and Niger - 1.
