Coronavirus: Senegal registers 83 new cases on Thursday

Dakar, Senegal, September 3 (Infoisplusgabon) - Senegal has recorded on Thursday 83 new cases of coronavirus from 1,032 samples tested and divided into 42 contact cases and 41 cases from community transmission, the Ministry of Health and Social Action announced.

No coronavirus-related death was reported by the ministry, which also indicated that 47 patients tested negative and were discharged.

However, 33 serious cases were being managed in intensive care units, the ministry said.

To date, Senegal has recorded 13,826 positive cases of which 9,553 have been cured and 3,985 are still under treatment. Official records show 287 deaths were related to the disease.
