Tunis, Tunisia, September 3 (Infosplusgabon) - The Tunisian president, Kais Saeid, Wednesday reaffirmed the need for an inclusive solution to preserve Libya’s unity and sovereignty through a Libyan-Libyan dialogue under the aegis of the United-Nations.
The Tunisian president said this when he received the acting chief of the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Stephanie Williams to review the latest developments in Libya and efforts made by the UN to resume the political process, a statement issued by the Tunisian presidency here said.
The Tunisian president insisted on the importance of the role played by neighbouring countries in the search for solution to the Libyan crisis, indicating in that respect the coordination between Tunisia and Algeria for the achievement of stability in that “fellow” country.
Within that framework, Saeid reaffirmed the position adopted by Tunisia on the ceasefire agreement in Libya which he considers an important step to the restoration of stability and resumption of the political process.
He also reiterated Tunisia’s commitment to back the efforts made by the UN Support Mission in Libya.
