Coronavirus: Spike in contaminations worries Tunisian health authorities

Tunis Tunisia, September 2 (Infosplusgabon) - Tunisia on Tuesday recorded 160 new confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), marking a worrying return of the deadly virus in the country.

According to the Tunisian Ministry of Health, currently, 49 patients are being treated in hospitals, including 10 in intensive care units.

Since the opening of air and sea borders on June 27, Tunisia has recorded 2,762 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 552 imported cases, 2,181 locally contracted and 30 deaths.
