Coronavirus: Algeria records 339 new cases

Algiers, Algeria, September 2 (Infosplusgabon) -Algeria has recorded 339 new confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and eight deaths in the last 24 hours.

This was announced by the spokesperson of the Scientific Committee for Monitoring the Evolution of the coronavirus pandemic, Dr. Djamel Fourar on Tuesday in Algiers.

He said that 249 recoveries were also recorded during the period.

The the total number of confirmed cases is now 44,833 with 1,518 deaths and 31,493 recoveries.

He urged the population to be vigilant and respect the rules of hygiene, physical distancing and wearing of masks.
