Tunis, Tunisia, August 23 (Infosplusgabon) - Tunisia is taking part in the first edition of the Amman International Film Festival (Jordan) with two films, "Un fils Nik Eneich", the first feature film by Tunisian director Mehdi Barsaoui, and "Fathallah TV - 10 ans et une révolution plus ..." by Widded Zoghlami.

This first international film festival in Jordan, which started on Sunday in the Jordanian capital, aims to "support film producers in Jordan and the region," a source close to the organizers said.

The Tunisian film, "Un fils Nik Eneich", is competing for the "Black Iris" award in the Arab feature film category, alongside seven other Arab films, while the other, "Fathallah TV - 10 ans et une révolution plus ...", is competing with eight other Arab documentary features.

In addition to Arab films, some 30 feature-length fiction and documentary films from countries around the world are taking part in this first edition, which inaugurates film events in the region, reports indicated.

In accordance with the rules of social distancing, the festival intends to find alternative projection methods through the creation of three open-air cinema screens (drive-in) and the use of the theatre of the Jordanian Royal Film Authority, organizers said.
