Coronavirus: Authorities see pandemic stabilizing despite 8,319 positive cases in Gabon

Libreville, Gabon, August 23 (Infosplusgabon) - While a moderate increase in coronavirus contamination has been observed in recent days, 49 people have been diagnosed positive out of 2,245 samples taken for a total of 8,319 positive cases as of 21 August 2020.

At the same time, 210 new recoveries were noted from 6,614 cases as of 19 August.

Despite this, the Steering Committee monitoring the coronavirus pandemic is confident that the spread, which remains dependent on individual behaviour, can be controlled, particularly through strict compliance with barrier measures and the compulsory wearing of masks in public places.

Out of a total of 104,420 tests carried out since the beginning of the pandemic, 8,319 people have tested positive and 53 died.
