Coronavirus: 36 new cases registered in Togo on Saturday

Lomé, Togo, August 23 (Infosplusgabon) - Togo recorded 36 new cases of Covid-19 contamination on Saturday, according to official sources in Lomé on Sunday.

The 36 new cases bring to 1,275 the total number of infections in the country.

However, the number of cured cases has increased to 903, following the registration of 12 new cured patients.

The number of deaths is 27 and the number of patients still under treatment is 292.

According to the ministry, Togo is facing a rise in outbreak of cases following new infections discovered in the interior of the country after the Tabaski feast and the illegal reopening of bars where barrier measures are not respected.
