Coronavirus: Libya breaks the 10,000 infections mark

Tripoli, Libya, August 23 (Infosplusgabon) - Libya has recorded a total of 10,121 confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) infections following the detection of 414 new cases, six recoveries and seven deaths in the last 24 hours, the National Centre for Disease Control announced  on Saturday.

In a statement, the Centre said it received 2,562 samples from several laboratories on Friday, adding that the results of these samples gave 2,148 negative samples, 414 positive samples, including 353 new cases and 61 contact cases.

Out of the 10,121 confirmed cases of coronavirus infections, there are 8,888 active cases, 1,053 recoveries and 180 deaths.
